THE JOURNEY BEHIND THE VITALITY LAB

From yoga and strength training to photobiomodulation, Louise’s personal approach to wellbeing ultimately led her to bring medical-grade NovoTHOR® to Taupō.

Hi, I’m Louise

Founder of The Vitality Lab

Health, wellbeing and vitality have been at the heart of my life for more than 20 years. My journey began with yoga and, since turning 50 in 2020 has evolved to include strength training and a deeper focus on supporting my body so I can remain strong, active and enjoy life to the fullest.

It was through this personal journey that I discovered PBM (photobiomodulation), which is commonly called red light therapy. I was looking for ways to support recovery, wellbeing and how I felt day to day and what began as a personal experience soon sparked a much deeper curiosity.

Where personal experience met a deeper interest in the science

The more I learned about the science of PBM and what happens at a cellular level, the more fascinated I became.

When I later underwent surgery, I continued using PBM before and after my operation, as part of my approach to supporting recovery.

My healing was remarkable and reinforced something I had already begun to understand: when we take a more considered approach to supporting our bodies, we can create the foundations for feeling stronger, recovering well and living with greater vitality.

What stayed with me was how difficult it could be for everyday people to access this kind of technology. I felt incredibly fortunate to have discovered it, and began to imagine what could be possible if more people had the opportunity to experience it for themselves.

That vision led me to bring a medical-grade NovoTHOR® to Taupō and create The Vitality Lab-a space dedicated to making this technology more accessible and helping people invest in their wellbeing.

VITALITYMore than simply living longer

For me, vitality is about more than simply living longer. It’s about having the energy, strength and wellbeing to fully experience the years we have — to move freely, recover well, pursue the things we love and embrace life.

My hope is that The Vitality Lab becomes a place where people can pause, invest in themselves and support their body from the inside out.

Because vitality isn’t just about adding years to life – it’s about adding life to our years.
