Your NovoTHOR® session is designed to feel straightforward, comfortable and unrushed, with Louise guiding you through the experience from the moment you arrive.

    ARRIVE & SETTLE IN

    Before your first session, Louise will talk you through what to expect, answer any questions and make sure you feel completely comfortable before getting started.

    RELAX INTO THE LIGHT

    You’ll settle into the NovoTHOR® bed while red and near-infrared light surrounds the body. The experience is non-invasive and relaxing, with some people noticing a gentle warmth or tingling sensation.

    SWITCH OFF

    There’s nothing you need to do during your session except lie back and relax. The private, appointment-only setting gives you uninterrupted time to pause, recharge and focus on your wellbeing.

Located just outside Taupō and available by appointment only, The Vitality Lab has been created as a private space to step away from the pace of everyday life.

Settle in, switch off and enjoy uninterrupted time with NovoTHOR® in a calm, personally managed setting shaped by Louise’s own experience with photobiomodulation and her passion for long-term wellbeing.

LOUISE’S JOURNEY

  • Each session is 20 minutes, making it an easy treatment to fit into your day.

  • You’ll lie comfortably inside the NovoTHOR® bed while your body is exposed to red and near-infrared light. There’s no exercise or effort required-simply relax and enjoy your 20-minute session.

  • For the best exposure to the light, most people choose to go without clothing during their session.This allows the light to reach as much of the body as possible.

    You are also welcome to wear underwear or swimwear if that makes you more comfortable. The most important thing is that you feel relaxed and comfortable throughout your session.

  • There is very little preparation required. Staying well hydrated before and after your session is recommended and can help support your body throughout the treatment.

    We also recommend arriving with clean skin and avoiding heavy lotions, oils or other products immediately before your session where possible. 

    If you have any questions about whether NovoTHOR is suitable for you, please get in touch before your session.

  • There is no required recovery time or downtime after a NovoTHOR session. You can return to your normal activities immediately afterwards.

    Remember to keep hydrated after your session and continue drinking plenty of water throughout the day.

  • For optimum wellness, we recommend starting with weekly sessions to build consistency and allow you to experience the benefits of regular NovoTHOR use.

     Once you have established a regular routine, you can move to monthly sessions for ongoing maintenance.

     For specific goals such as recovery, preparing for surgery or travel, some people choose a more intensive schedule of up to three sessions per week.

    Everyone is different, so if you're unsure what frequency is right for you, we're happy to discuss your individual goals.

  • NovoTHOR isn't suitable for everyone. If you are pregnant, have cancer, take medications that increase light sensitivity, or have a medical condition that may be affected by light therapy, please speak with your healthcare professional before booking.

  • A single NovoTHOR Treatment is $120

    If you book 5 or more treatments, the price is $110
